OnePlus has been keeping up with its promise when it comes to a software update for its devices. The companys’ three-year-old devices, i.e the OnePlus 6 series smartphones: the OnePlus 6, and the OnePlus 6T are now getting a new software update. OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 10.3.9 software update for these smartphones, which brings in the latest February Android security patch and improves system stability. OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T Gets February Android security patch
The new software update arrives in the form of OxygenOS 10.3.9 for the OnePlus 6, and the OnePlus 6T. This latest software release brings in the February Android security patch, updated Google Mobile Services (GMS) package, and has fixed known issues and improved the system stability, as per the changelog.
The OxyenOS 10.3.9 software update is rolling out in a phased manner and might reach a limited number of users initially. We should see a wider rollout of this software build when OnePlus makes sure that there are no critical bugs. As of now, the company’s OnePlus 7 series smartphones, the OnePlus 7, and the OnePlus 7T are yet to receive the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update. These devices had picked the Android 11-based HydrogenOS 11 update in China a few weeks ago. However, in a recent development, OnePlus had stopped the rollout of Android 11-based HydrogenOS 11 for these smartphones due to bugs and issues.
