OnePlus allowed eager buyers to purchase tickets that offered priority access to the launch of the OnePlus 6T. As expected, the tickets sold out in mere seconds, which is a strong indicator about the euphoria on the latest flagship Android smartphone from the Chinese company.
OnePlus 6T will officially arrive on October 30, and will go on sale from November 2. On Wednesday, OnePlus opened the sale of tickets for the OnePlus 6T launch event. The tickets weren’t cheap. Despite costing Rs. 999, all the tickets sold out quickly within a few seconds. Incidentally, the tickets do not grant preferred access to sale of OnePlus 6T smartphone.

The OnePlus 6T launch event is scheduled for 8.30PM on October 30 in New Delhi and simultaneously in New York as part of the global launch. The tickets merely grant access to the venue. The event will include an important keynote delivered by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. Also, the attendees will get to experience latest smartphone that succeeds the OnePlus 6. OnePlus will deploy special “experience zones” at the launch venue that will offer several units of the OnePlus 6T. Visitors can play with the smartphone and check out its various features.
Incidentally, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed if the attendees to the OnePlus 6T launch event will be able to walk out with the flagship Android smartphone. Moreover, there’s no indication if the company will hold a contest to offer a few smartphones to lucky winners at the event.
Although people attending the event may not get the OnePlus 6T, the company did confirm that attendees will have a gift hamper when they walk out the venue. Also, OnePlus mentioned the gift hamper would include ‘super add-ons’ like OnePlus Bullets Wireless, a OnePlus Pin Set, and a OnePlus Sketch Book. Incidentally, the Bullets Wireless headphones alone retails at Rs. 3,990. This fact made the tickets even more desirable.
The hamper will also include a voucher for oneplus.in worth Rs. 999. The voucher, restricted to official Indian website of OnePlus, can be redeemed while buying any OnePlus merchandise.

OnePlus 6T features ‘Screen Unlock’ technology that powers the in-display fingerprint scanner. The other highlight of the smartphone is the inclusion of a dedicated ‘Night Mode’ that dynamically alters the display parameters, including the blue color emissions, to offer a viewing experience with minimal fatigue and eye-strain.
OnePlus 6T has a teardrop notch at the top. The smartphone could feature a 6.4-inch display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It could launch in two memory configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. OnePlus has dropped the 3.5mm headphone jack starting with the OnePlus 6T.
A relatively large 3,700mAh battery that supports Dash Charging technology, powers the smartphone. OnePlus recently confirmed the latest Android flagship smartphone will have improved gesture-based navigation, which will help users switch between two recently used apps quickly. Essentially, the app window instantly mimics the finger movement, giving users a natural and intuitive feel of navigation. Also, smartphone now allows instant access to Google Assistant by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds.
