The OnePlus 6T rumour mill is in full swing, and while we pretty much know when the phone is going to be launched, we are still not a cent percent sure about what we’re going to get. OnePlus 6T is going to be a hardware upgrade, as has been the case with all previous OnePlus T devices.

However, this time around, there could be some design changes as well, similar to what we saw with the OnePlus 5 and 5T. In this post, we are going to talk about the top 5 expected features of the OnePlus 6T smartphone. So, let’s begin.

OnePlus 6T Rumour Roundup: 5 Expected Features

In-display Fingerprint Scanner

According to several rumors, leaks and reports, the OnePlus 6T is going to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. This was also pretty much confirmed by the OnePlus CEO in an interview. The 6T will have an in-display fingerprint sensor, which according to OnePlus, is a more natural placement for the scanner.

Waterdrop Notch

With the OnePlus 6, the company brought the ‘notch’ to its customers. Many hated it, and some are okay with it, but that might soon change with the OnePlus 6T. According to rumours, the 6T will come with a redesigned notch, similar to what we’ve seen on the Oppo R17 and Oppo F9. Known as the waterdrop notch, it will be smaller than the traditional notch, and increase the screen-to-body ratio.

Abandoning 3.5mm Jack for USB-C

In another recent interview, the OnePlus CEO mentioned that customers prefer wireless audio, more than the headphone jack. And OnePlus also announced that they would be releasing a USB Type-C variant of their Bullets V2 earphones. This probably means that, going forward, OnePlus could ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack.

New Design

Because of the new waterdrop notch, we can expect some small design changes at the front. Also, if the company does launch the OnePlus 6T with an in-display fingerprint scanner, then there will be no sensor at the back. This should give a cleaner design at the back of the phone.

Triple Camera Setup

Another popular rumor, and leak, is related to the camera setup on the OnePlus 6T. The new phone is said to come with a triple camera setup at the back. It is said to use the similar setup that’s found on the recently released Oppo R17 Pro. You can expect a primary 20MP unit, a second 12MP telephoto or low-light sensor, and a third TOF 3D camera. This would be a great upgrade for the customers.

Apart from these top 5 expected features, we also expect the OnePlus 6T to come with a water resistance rating, wireless charging, and faster charging. The internals are said to be similar to the OnePlus 6. So you will get the Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It is also possible that OnePlus could release a 512GB variant of the phone.
