OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition Spotted on Swedish Retailers Website, But is It True? Find Out

Swedish online retailer Webhallen has listed an Ultimate Limited Edition variant of the OnePlus 6T on its website, which will be released in the Scandinavian country on November 5th.

In an unprecedented move, OnePlus recently announced that it has preponed the 6T launch date to October 29 to make sure that its next flagship smartphone receives all the attention that it deserves. Ahead of the smartphone’s launch event in New York City on October 29^th, a Swedish online retailer has listed a special edition variant of the OnePlus 6T, called the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition. According to the listing, the OnePlus 6T will be available exclusively from the Swedish retailer and only a 100 units will be made available for purchase.

As you can see below, the listing does include the box art, with the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition branding clearly visible. While Webhallen is a reputed Swedish online retailer, we are not completely convinced that the box art is genuine. The description in the listing claims the package contains a “OnePlus 6T as well as a host of secret things”. As mentioned earlier, only 100 copies of the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition will be available in Sweden. The item will be released in Sweden on November 5^th. However, those interested in getting the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition will need to place their order on October 25, i.e. four days before the smartphone’s official unveiling. It is possible that the regular OnePlus 6T variants will also be available in the country starting November 5^th.

While OnePlus has launched Limited Edition variants of its flagship smartphones in the past, we will need to wait to find out if the Ultimate Limited Edition variant is indeed the real deal. Alternatively, it is possible that the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Edition may just be a special edition tacked together by the Swedish retailer. In case the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Edition does exist, we expect it to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, the Limited Edition variant is likely to come with the new OnePlus Bullets wireless earphones, a special case, and perhaps a screen protector as well. As for pricing, the OnePlus 6T Ultimate Limited Edition is expected to carry a small premium when compared to the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the smartphone.

OnePlus 6T Launching on October 29 in New York City

The OnePlus 6T will now be officially unveiled at a global event in New York City on October 29^th. It will be launched in India at a separate event in New Delhi on October 30^th. Even though the 6T isn’t a significant upgrade over the current OnePlus 6 (Review), it will still have quite a few exciting features that will make it an attractive option for consumers looking to buy a flagship smartphone without burning a hole in their pocket. The OnePlus 6T will be the manufacturer’s first smartphone to come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Since the handset will be sold in the US by T-Mobile, it will be the very first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor to go on sale there. Apart from the “Screen Unlock” feature, the OnePlus 6T is also expected to offer improved battery life thanks to a 3700mAh capacity battery. The other major difference will be the larger 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch at the top. On the flip side, however, the OnePlus 6T will not include a 3.5mm headphone jack, which may put off some buyers.
