Along with the OnePlus TV Q1 and the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro QLED Android TVs, the company’s first-ever TV products, OnePlus also launched a new smartphone. The OnePlus 7T was unveiled on 26 September. Now, the OnePlus 7T, the successor to the OnePlus 7 (Review), is available for purchase in India. The new smartphone from OnePlus brings almost all the best bits of the OnePlus 7 Pro to the non-Pro version for the second half of 2019. This includes a 90Hz refresh rate screen, a triple-camera setup, stereo speakers, and faster battery charging. The OnePlus 7T is available in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB. The 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant of the phone is available for Rs 37,999, while the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 39,999. The 128GB storage variant of the OnePlus 7T is available only in the Frosted Silver color, while the 256GB variant is available in two colors: Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue.


Customers can avail up to Rs 1,500 discount if they make a purchase using an HDFC Bank credit or debit card. If an SBI credit or debit card is used, the instant discount turns out to Rs 2,000. Buyers can also make purchases through 3-month or 6-month No-Cost EMI programs. OnePlus also teamed up with Airtel to offer several benefits, including double data, Rs 500 accessories voucher for OnePlus.in website, three months of Netflix access for free, one-year Amazon Prime membership, Airtel TV Premium, Airtel Wynk, and Airtel Secure membership.

All the variants of the phone can be purchased through Amazon.in and OnePlus.in websites. Alternatively, you can also buy the phone via OnePlus’ Experience Stores, Croma, Reliance Digital and other authorized retail stores.

OnePlus 7T AMOLED Screen Notch

The OnePlus 7T now has a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (2400×1080 pixels at 402ppi), 20:9 aspect ratio, and 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected using 3D Gorilla Glass but the company didn’t reveal the version of Gorilla Glass that is used to cover the phone’s display. The screen also supports HDR10+ video playback and has an under-display optical fingerprint reader. While the 7T didn’t get the 7 Pro’s completely bezel-less and notch-less screen, the company did manage to reduce the size of the waterdrop-shaped notch by up to 30 percent.

There’s a 16MP camera (Sony IMX471) with f/2.0 aperture hidden inside the screen notch. It supports 1080p 30fps video recording, EIS, and can capture HDR images. The front-facing camera can also be used for Face Unlock. At the rear, the OnePlus 7T gets a OnePlus 7 Pro-like triple-camera setup, consisting of a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The 48MP camera has f/1.6 aperture, OIS, EIS, and PDAF, and it can record 4K 60fps videos. The 12MP camera has 2x optical zoom equivalent telephoto lens, autofocus, and f/2.2 aperture. The 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera has f/2.2 aperture, a fixed-focus lens, and 117-degree field of view. The camera supports Nightscape, UltraShot, Pro Mode, Panorama, HDR, AI Scene Recognition, and an ability to save RAW images.

The OnePlus 7T is equipped with the Snapdragon 855+ processor from Qualcomm. It’s a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 855. This chipset has 5 percent better CPU performance and a whopping 15% better GPU performance. The OnePlus 7T has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. It comes running Android 10 out of the box, complete with OxygenOS customizations. Additional features include an SMS organizer, Zen Mode, OnePlus Shelf, UI and theme customizations, a smarter Gallery app, Work-Life Balance, OnePlus Roaming, and more.

The phone is powered by a 3800mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T technology for even faster battery charging.
