OnePlus had announced the prices of its latest smartphones, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, yesterday. Just like every new OnePlus phone, the latest devices are priced higher than the previous iteration. The OnePlus 8 starts at Rs 41,999 and the higher-end OnePlus 8 Pro starts at Rs 54,999, which is significantly less than the pricetags set by the company in the US and other global territories. A big impact of the launch is the reduction in prices of OnePlus’ last year flagship, the OnePlus 7T Pro.

New OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro prices

As it stands, OnePlus has flat-out slashed the prices of the OnePlus 7T Pro by Rs 6,000 bringing it down to Rs 47,999 from the earlier price tag of Rs 53,999. The change in price is currently only available on the company’s website and not on the Amazon listing of the device. The OnePlus 7T still stands at Rs 34,999 starting price which is incidentally a Rs 3,000 price drop over the original cost and it took place a while back. The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition also retains its original price tag which is Rs 58,999.

The reason why the change in the price of the OnePlus 7T Pro has not yet reflected on Amazon’s website is most likely because the e-commerce giant is currently only displaying prices of essential items. You can place your order on OnePlus’ website but it is highly unlikely that you will be getting your order during this lockdown period. There is only the single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option available.

OnePlus 7T Pro specifications

The OnePlus 7T Pro is nearly identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro in terms of design. It has the same 6.7-inch curved display with QHD+ resolution, HDR10+ compatibility, and a 90Hz refresh rate. There is no notch on the phone with the company instead opting for a pop-up selfie camera which gives the phone an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Inside the phone is a Snapdragon 855+ chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. There is a higher 12GB version of the phone in the limited edition OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition, which is currently available on both OnePlus’ website and Amazon. For authentication purposes, the phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and also a 2D face unlocking system.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 7T Pro happens to have a triple-camera setup which uses the Sony 48MP IMX586 sensor and f/1.6 aperture as the primary lens. It is supported by an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 16MP ultra-wide lens with a 117-degree field of view. On the front is a pop-up style selfie camera that has a 16MP resolution.

Battery-wise, the OnePlus 7T Pro has a 4080mAh battery pack with 30W Warp Charge 30T support. Software on the device is Android 10 which is overlayed by OnePlus’ proprietary OxygenOS. The usual connectivity options on the phone are present which include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, USB Type-C port, and NFC. The phone weighs 206g and it has dimensions of 162.6mm x 75.9mm x 8.8mm.
