The OnePlus 8 series of smartphones is expected to launch somewhere during the first half of 2020. A little while ago, we got the leaked hands-on image of the OnePlus 8 Pro which hinted at a possible dual punch-hole display coming up with the device. Now, courtesy of an exclusive report from 91Mobiles, we have got information about the third device in the OnePlus 8 series of smartphones, a Lite one at that. Thanks to the source, we now have a working clue as to how the upcoming OnePlus 8 Lite could look like.

OnePlus 8 Lite unofficial renders hint at a punch-hole display and dual rear cameras

Alongside the renders, the website has shared a 360-degree video of the device.

As seen in the video and the image, the OnePlus 8 Lite will have a centrally-aligned single punch-hole camera setup, much like the one found on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

The display appears to be flat and there won’t be any curves edges coming up with the OnePlus 8 Lite. This could very well be expected as the OnePlus 8 Lite is being speculated to be a mid-range smartphone. The bezels appear to be pretty minimal, however. The display size will be somewhere between 6.4-inch or 6.5-inch as shared by the source. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the OnePlus 8 Lite will measure somewhere around 159.2 x 74 x 8.6mm. Though the refresh rate of the display is not confirmed as of now, it would come as no surprise if the OnePlus 8 Lite comes with a 90Hz refresh rate display.

Moving to the back of the device, the OnePlus 8 Lite will feature a rectangular camera module with 2 cameras, an LED flash, and a few sensors. We don’t see a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner in the renders which makes us believe that the OnePlus 8 Lite will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner instead. If that is the case, the presence of an OLED panel would also be a likelihood.

The renders also confirm that we will get a USB Type-C charging port at the bottom. Sadly, we can rotate the device all we want, but we won’t be able to find a 3.5mm headphone jack because there won’t be one. Nevertheless, the vintage OnePlus alert slider is still retained and finds its usual position on the right side.

As for the OnePlus 8 Pro, the leaked images suggest that the device will feature a dual punch-hole camera at the top right side of the display, much like the Galaxy S10 Plus. The display will have rounded corners. The device is expected to be powered with the recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 flagship processor with 12GB of RAM.

As far as the OS is concerned, we can safely expect the OnePlus 8 series of smartphones to run on Android 10 out of the box.

More details about the OnePlus 8 series of smartphones will soon start surfacing on the internet as the launch date approaches, but this is all we know as of now. We can expect OnePlus to come with more surprises for its upcoming lineup.
