The rumors surrounding the launch of the brand new OnePlus 8 lineup of smartphones have been surfacing the internet for quite a while now. A little while ago, the OnePlus 8 smartphone appeared on the Geekbench database website, which gave us some of its key specifications. Overall, the OnePlus 8 series is said to comprise of three smartphones – OnePlus 8 Lite, OnePlus 8, and OnePlus 8 Pro. Today, we were able to locate both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro devices on the Chinese TENAA certification website, which hints that the launch date is imminent. OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are now TENAA Certified
As seen in the TENAA certification images, both OnePlus 8 (with the model number OnePlus IN2010) and OnePlus 8 Pro (with the model number OnePlus IN2020) will be 5G-enabled devices. The presence of 5G in both devices has already been confirmed by the company in the past, by the way. As a matter of fact, the brand has already informed us that the OnePlus 8 series will launch in India with 5G support, meaning that whenever the 5G technology hits the Indian soil, the OnePlus 8 series of smartphones will be up and running to utilize the same. For now, this is pretty much everything the TENAA certification has revealed and the remaining pages have not been made live, but we will keep crawling through the certification and update our story if there are any changes made on the certification page.
Nevertheless, we already have a working clue as to what some of the specifications of the devices could be. Notably, the OnePlus 8 smartphone will be powered by a 1.80GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which will be paired with 12GB of RAM. There will definitely be more RAM variants of the device, but we are not really sure of them as of now. The device, however, has also been spotted on the Indian BIS certification website, which hints at an imminent launch of the device in the country. As far as the display of the device is concerned, the OnePlus 8 is said to flaunt a 6.5-inch AMOLED display. The display will most likely feature a 120Hz refresh rate. Coming to the battery of the device, the OnePlus 8 is said to come with a 4,500mAh battery with up to 55W fast charging. As for the OnePlus 8 Pro, the device will most likely retain the SoC found on the vanilla OnePlus 8, but is said to feature a larger display. It will also allegedly feature an extra camera sensor on the back.
As of now, this is all we know about the upcoming OnePlus 8 series, but we are definitely going to hear more about it in the coming days as the launch date approaches.
