OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 8 Pro Android 13 Stable Update Released

Android 13 is likely the last Android version upgrade for the OnePlus 8 series devices.


OnePlus has released OxygenOS 13 Stable update for the OnePlus 8 series devices. The list of devices includes the OnePlus 8, the OnePlus 8T, and the OnePlus 8 Pro. This comes after the Android 13 Open Beta which was released for all three devices last month in India. To those unaware, all three OnePlus 8 series devices were launched in 2020 and the OxygenOS 13 update for these devices is based on Android 13.

The OnePlus 8 Pro Android 13 Stable update comes with firmware version IN2021_11.F.13 and weighs around 4.81GBs in size. Whereas, the OnePlus 8T Android 13 Stable update weighs 4.67GBs in size and carries firmware version KB2011_11.F.13. The OnePlus 8 Android 13 Stable update comes with firmware version IN2015_11.F.13 and weighs about 4.61GBs in size. OnePlus has also incorporated a bunch of new features to boost multitasking and productivity. OxygenOS 13 offers an all-new Always On Display which shows live information about music, food delivery, and more. Apart from it, OnePlus has also introduced a few new privacy features. OxygenOS 13 features an automatic pixelation feature for chat screenshots. With this feature, profile pictures and names will be automatically pixelated in a chat screenshot in order to protect privacy.

• Upgrades to HyperBoost GPA 4.0 to stabilize the frame rate and balance the performance and power consumption in key scenarios.
• Optimizes the pre-launch capabilities of Quick startup to load games faster.

Those with any of the OnePlus 8 series devices must ensure at least 30% of battery life and at least 5GB of free internal storage before proceeding with OxygenOS 13 installation. OnePlus has rolled out three Android version updates for the OnePlus 8 series smartphones. This means that the Android 13 update will likely be the last Android version upgrade for the OnePlus 8 series devices.

This year OnePlus has been pretty quick with the Android update rollout. The company has completed the Android 13 Stable update for the number series devices with the exception of the OnePlus 10T. We can expect OnePlus to roll out the Android 13 Stable update for the OnePlus 10T in the coming weeks.
