Nearly two months after the global launch of the OnePlus 8 series smartphones, both these handsets are yet to be freely available in India. While the India launch of these handsets was delayed because of the lockdown, OnePlus later ran into production issues after several employees at their NOIDA plant tested positive for COVID-19. This led to further delays as far as the open availability of both the handsets were concerned. Nevertheless, OnePlus seems to have finally sorted their manufacturing issues and is reportedly readying to start the sales of the OnePlus 8 Pro early next week. Recent reports indicate that the first sale of the OnePlus 8 Pro is scheduled to take place on June 15. We also have information that indicates that the lower-priced OnePlus 8 model shall also be on sale on the same day. If you recall, the OnePlus 8 did go on sale earlier (on June 8), so this is not the first time that the lower-priced member of the OnePlus 8 series has gone on sale in the country.

Now that the OnePlus 8 Pro shall be made available to consumers across the country, it is time we take a look at its spec sheet once again.

OnePlus has shed its image as the maker of affordable flagships and flagship killers with the OnePlus 8 Pro, and the launch of this handset marks the entry of the brand to the ‘proper’ flagship segment.

The first thing you’d notice about the OnePlus 8 Pro is the massive 6.7-inch fluid AMOLED display with a single punch-hole cutout. This panel boasts of 120Hz refresh rate as well. Powering the phone is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The device comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.

The camera setup on the OnePlus 8 Pro includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. At the front, the OnePlus 8 Pro makes room for a 16MP selfie snapper. The battery capacity of the device stands at 4,510mAh with support for 30W wireless and 30W wired fast charging. The device runs the latest iteration of Android 10 under the OxygenOS skin.
