Not too long ago, OnePlus launched its OnePlus 8 series of smartphones globally. The brand has already launched the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro devices in India, but the series has so far yet to start selling in the country. Finally, those interested in getting their hands on the OnePlus 8 series devices can do exactly so, as the company has finally announced the first sale date of the OnePlus 8 lineup in India – May 29, 2020. The devices will be sold via Amazon. OnePlus 8 series: Prices and launch offers

Starting with the pricing of the standard OnePlus 8 smartphone, the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant of the device is priced at INR 41,999 in India. The 8GB/128GB variant will cost you INR 44,999 and the 12GB/256GB storage variant is kept at INR 49,999. The OnePlus 8 Pro, on the other hand, will sell for INR 54,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and INR 59,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant. OnePlus 8: Specifications and features

Starting with the display of the device, the OnePlus 8 features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a 1,080 x 2,400 pixel resolution. The OnePlus 8 display sports a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which is located in the top left corner. The device comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It measures 160.2×72.9×8.0 mm and weighs in at 180 grams.

The punch-hole makes room for a 16MP selfie snapper with f/2.45 aperture. At the back, the OnePlus 8 flaunts a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, a 16MP 116-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 8 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platform, which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software side of things, the OnePlus 8 boots Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house OxygenOS 10.0 skin baked atop it.

OnePlus 8 Pro: Specifications and features

The OnePlus 8 Pro features a larger 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED panel with a higher 120Hz refresh rate and a 3,168 x 1,440 pixel resolution. Just like the OnePlus 8, the OnePlus 8 Pro also comes with a 16MP selfie snapper. At the back, however, the OnePlus 8 Pro sports a quadruple rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary lens (Sony IMX586) with f/1.78 aperture, a 48MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP color filter with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The device measures 165.3×74.35×8.5 mm and weighs in at 199 grams.

Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, clubbed with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In the software department, the OnePlus 8 Pro also features Android 10 OS based on Oxygen OS 10.

Coming to the battery of the device, the OnePlus 8 Pro sports a large 4,510mAh battery, which has support for up to 30W fast charging (wired, as well as wireless). The device also offers reverse wireless charging. Connectivity features include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band) + GLONASS, NFC.
