The OnePlus 8T made its debut in October 2020 at a starting price of Rs 42,999 in India. Last year, the brand had announced a price cut which brought the price down to Rs 38,999. Now, the OnePlus 8T is available at a price of Rs 28,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Previously, we have seen the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE being available for Rs 30,990 but the latest OnePlus 8T deal certainly seems more tempting.

The OnePlus 8T 8GB + 128GB variant in the Aquamarine Green colour is being sold at Rs 28,999 via the OnePlus Store in the country. Do note that this might be the stock clearance sale, as, at the time of writing, the handset wasn’t available in other configurations and colour variants on OnePlus.in. So, if you’re really interested in this OnePlus 8T deal, you should place an order as soon as possible.

Is the OnePlus 8T Still A Good Buy?

Even though the OnePlus 8T is almost 2 years old, it offers all trendy features be it a high-resolution camera sensor, high screen to body ratio, or 65W fast charging. Although the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is two-generation old, in terms of performance, it won’t disappoint most of the folks out there. However, don’t forget that in the past 2 years, mid-range smartphones have become more capable than ever.

If we factor in the competition and the features being offered, the Iqoo Neo 6, Moto Edge 30, and OnePlus Nord 2 seem to offer a really good value proposition and some might consider these over the latest OnePlus 8T deal. All three above-mentioned handsets come with a high refresh rate display, flagship-grade performance, high-resolution cameras with OIS, and fast charging.

Also, the OnePlus 8T has already received an Android update, that is Android 12. We can expect the handset to receive Android 13 in the future, but the chances for it to get Android 14 update are really slim. So, if are looking to use a smartphone for the next 3 years, you shouldn’t really go with the OnePlus 8T even though it’s a tempting deal.
