OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 8T with 120Hz display, and 65W Warp charge 65 charging at a starting price of Rs. 42,999 in India.

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 8T at an online event in India. OnePlus 8T comes with a 120Hz refresh rate panel, packs top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, and supports 5G connectivity. OnePlus is introducing a dual-cell battery technology with OnePlus 8T which we have previously seen on some Realme and OPPO smartphones. With the dual-cell battery technology, OnePlus has managed to achieve a faster 65W fast charging. OnePlus 8T: Price in India

The OnePlus 8T comes in two variants in India. 8GB RAM and 128 storage variant of OnePlus 8T costs Rs. 42,999 while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs Rs. 45,999. The 128GB storage variant will retail in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver colors, while the 256GB storage variant will be sold only in Aquamarine Green color. The smartphone goes on sale starting October 17th via amazon.in and Oneplus.in, but Amazon Prime subscribers can purchase it starting October 16th.


OnePlus 8T: Features and Specifications

Starting this off with the display, the OnePlus 8T features a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 2400×1,080 resolution, 402ppi pixel-density 20:9 aspect ration, and 1,100nits brightness. The smartphone has a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left side resulting in a screen to body ratio of 91.9%. The display panel on the OnePus 8T comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor with support for face unlock. OnePlus has gone with a flat display on the OnePlus 8T compared to the curved display on the OnePlus 8 series devices. The display on the OnePlus 8T comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is an upgrade over the OnePlus 8’s 90Hz display.

Coming to the performance, the OnePlus 8T sports octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G under-the-hood, which is built on a 7nm fabrication process. While the graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 650GPU. The smartphone packs UFS 3.1 storage along with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM. It comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and GPS (L1+L5 dual band), GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, A-GPS support. OnePlus 8T runs Android 11 based Oxygen OS 11 out of the box.

Coming to the optics, the smartphone packs a 48MP quad-rear camera setup inside a squircle camera island. The primary sensor on the OnePlus 8T is a Sony IMX586 sensor that has OIS and f/1.7 aperture. The primary sensor gets accompanied by a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 123° field of view. The smartphone also packs a 5MP macro sensor with a 3cm focal length, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a dual-LED flash. The smartphone is capable of recording 4K 30/60fps, 1080p 30/60fps videos along with 720p 480fps and 1080p 240fps slow-motion videos. For the selfies, the OnePlus 8T offers a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 1μ pixel size, and EIS.

OnePlus 8T packs a 4500mAh dual-cell battery that comes with 65W Warp charge 65 fast charging support. OnePlus is bundling a Type-C to Type-C cable with the 8T, Warp charge 65 charger supports power delivery, and can charge other devices at up to 45W. Similar to other OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus 8T doesn’t have a headphone jack but it comes with a Dual stereo setup with Dolby Atmos support. The smartphone weighs 188grams and measures 160.7mm×74.1mm×8.4mm.
