OnePlus 8T’s first OxygenOS update brings optimizations to camera and installs Amazon app in India

OnePlus recently introduced its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 8T, in India. The smartphone comes with a host of interesting features like 120Hz refresh rate, quad-camera setup, 65W fast charging solution, and more. Now, the brand has started rolling out its first update in India. The new update brings some optimisations and improvements. Here’s what you need to know about the OnePlus 8T latest update.

OnePlus 8T first update details

The first update comes with model number OxygenOS We received this update on your review unit and it is around 389MB in size. The official changelog reveals that the company has added Amazon shopping application to the OnePlus 8T. The update also optimises unlock experience for the Ambient Display. It also optimises power consumption for the phone.

For cameras, the update optimises the Nightscape Mode for video and improves imaging quality. It also optimises the accuracy of white balance under different settings. The update brings some stability to the camera application. Moving on, the update also adds stability of communication functions. One can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update.

OnePlus 8T specifications

Coming to the specifications, the phone features a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution. The screen comes with 120Hz refresh rate, 402ppi pixel density, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 1,100nits brightness.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, you get a quad-camera setup with 48MP primary lens, 16MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro shooter, and 2MP mono lens. On the front, there is a 16Mp selfie shooter for video calling. The phone packs 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
