OnePlus 9, 9 Pro OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 With May Android Security Patch, Camera Improvements Now Rolling Out to Users

OnePlus 11.2.5.5 update is rolling out for OnePlus 9 series users in India.

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 9 series device including OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R back in March. The company has been rolling out updates one after another to improve performance and security. The Chinese smartphone giant rolled out OxygenOS 11.2.2.2 update with several camera and system improvements for OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro last month. Now, OnePlus has started rolling out another update for both OnePlus 9 series smartphones. The new update for both the devices comes as OxygenOS 11.2.5.5, and weighs 130MBs in size. The update also bumps the security patch to May 2021 for both devices. Let us take a detailed look at what the update has in store for OnePlus 9 series users.

Several users took it to OnePlus community to share that they have started receiving OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 updates on their OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro. The new update improves the charging performance of the devices, and also fixes known issues to improve overall stability.

OnePlus has also improved the HDR performance, and white balance for the rear camera. The company has also optimized the network performance including WiFi on the devices.

These updates are being rolled out in a staged roll-out manner, so you may or may not have received the update on your unit. In the staged roll-out phase, an update is randomly pushed out to a limited number of users and a broader rollout follows a few days later. The update is available only for Indian users for now.

OnePlus is yet to make a formal announcement for OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 roll-out for the devices. As soon as OnePlus makes a formal announcement, and shares the download link, we will update this post.
