OnePlus has started rolling out a new software update for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. The new software update arrives for these devices in the form of OxygenOS 11.2.8.8. The fresh software build brings in the latest July 2021 security patch and several new features. As per the details released by OnePlus on its official forum, the newly rolling software update for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro brings in Bitmoji AOD, a feature that livens up the ambient display with your personal Bitmoji avatar. Apart from the Bitmoji feature, OnePlus also has fixed some known bugs and issues with the newly rolling out OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 software update. As mentioned above, the newly rolling software update arrives for the OnePlus 9 series in the form of OxgenOS 11.2.8.8. The fresh software update brings in July 2021 security patch and a Bitmoji feature. The Bitmoji feature allows you to add your personal Bitmoji avatar on the Always-On display. The avatar will update throughout the day based on your activity and things happening around you. When you update your OnePlus 9/9 Pro to OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 you can find the Bitmoji feature in the Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display > Bitmoji. The OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 software update is currently rolling out to users in North America, Europe, and India. As usual, this new OTA will be rolling out initially to a limited number of users.
