OnePlus is gearing up to launch its new flagships series, the OnePlus 9, in Q1 of 2021. We have seen multiple reports suggesting that the brand might introduce OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone in March next year. Now, a new leak has emerged online that reveals the camera specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 9 smartphone. The leak reveals that the smartphone will come with a triple-camera setup. The phone is also reported to come with some software optimisation from Leica as well. Here’s what you need to know about the latest OnePlus 9 camera leak.
OnePlus 9 camera specifications leaked online
As per a report by Slashleaks, the OnePlus 9 might come with a triple-camera setup at the back panel. The primary lens might be a 50MP Ultra Vision camera with f/1.9 aperture. The secondary sensor might be a 20MP Cine Camera with f/1.8 aperture. Lastly, the third lens will be a 12MP telephoto camera with f/3.4 aperture. The last sensor might also support Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) along with AF.
This is quite odd for OnePlus going with a triple-camera setup with OnePlus 9 as it already introduced quad-camera setup with OnePlus 8T. The handset comes with a combination of 48MP primary lens with OIS, EIS, f/1.7 aperture, 16MP wide-angle lens with 116-degree FoV, 5MP macro sensor, and 2MP depth sensor.
Previously, a report from 91mobiles revealed that the phone will sport a triple-camera setup. The device will feature a 48MP main wide lens and a 48MP ultrawide lens. The report does not mention any details regarding the third lens which is relatively smaller in size than the other two cameras.
OnePlus 9 specifications (rumoured)
The OnePlus 9 will come with a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner of the display. The camera module includes two large camera sensors and a small third camera sensor, along with an LED flash. The leaked renders also revealed a new branding called “Ultra Shot” at the camera bump.
Coming to the specifications, the handset might feature a 6.55-inch HDR display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, clubbed with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset runs on Android 11 based on OxygenOS.
