OnePlus 9 Pro Design With 6.7-inch Curved Display, Quad Cameras Leaked; Rumoured Features, Specifications

OnePlus is reportedly launching the OnePlus 9 series in March 2021. While we are still a few months away from the rumoured launch event, the OnePlus 9 Pro design renders have been leaked. The leaked design renders not only give us a first look at the premium OnePlus flagship but also reveal some of the key specifications and features. Steve Hemmerstoffer, popularly known as OnLeaks, claims that the leaked design is still at the prototyping stage and that some details, especially the rear camera layout could change. The overall design is a mix of its predecessors, the OnePlus 8T, and the OnePlus 8 Pro. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus 9 Pro specifications, design, features, and other details leaked ahead of the launch.

OnePlus 9 Pro design renders reveal key specifications and features

OnePlus 9 Pro will be a high-end offering from the brand with flagship features. At the front, the smartphone will sport a tall 6.7-inch display with curved edges and a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera.

The power button and alert slider are located on the right edge, leaving room for the volume keys on the left edge. At the bottom edge are the speakers, mic, and the USB Type-C port.

Being a premium offering, the OnePlus 9 Pro will come with a glass back. The rear panel sports a quad-camera setup. OnLeaks states that the rear cameras are an array of four sensors but the layout could change in the future. In the current prototype, two of the four camera lenses are enclosed within huge metal rings which protrude slightly from the main camera bump. Detailed specifications of the camera sensors are not known at the moment.

The tipster is also certain that the OnePlus 9 series will launch in March 2021.

We can expect the OnePlus 9 Pro to get powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor, which is scheduled to release at the Qualcomm Summit in December 2020. The device is also likely to feature a dual stereo-speaker setup, NFC, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Like the OnePlus 8T, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone would feature 65W fast charging, coupled with fast wireless charging.
