OnePlus 9 series, OPPO Find X3 series Receive ColorOS 12 Stable Update in China

OPPO Find X3 series and the OnePlus 9 series have started receiving Android 12-based ColorOS 12 update in China.

OPPO rolled out the Android 12-based ColoroS 12 update for the Find X3 Pro smartphone in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesian markets a few days back. The new software update was rolled out in the form of the stable version that carried firmware version as CPH2173_11.C.33.

Now, in a recent development, the company has started rolling out the Android 12 update for the entire OPPO Find X3 lineup and the OnePlus 9 series in China. Ahead of the official rollout, the company had confirmed that it will roll out the update on November 25.

The Android 12 update which is being rolled out for the OPPO Find X3 Pro Mars Explorer Edition carries a firmware version as – A.28/A.29. On the other hand, the OPPO Find X3 and the Find X3 Pro gets the new update with firmware version as A.30 and A.28/A.29 respectively. Moving on ahead with the OnePlus 9 series devices, both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro receives the new update with firmware version as A.12.

If you have not received the Android 12 update on your device yet, you can head over to Settings > Software Update > to check if the update has arrived on your smartphone unit. As usual, the ColorOS 12 stable update for the above-mentioned devices is being rolled out in stages. Initially, we can expect the update to arrive for a limited number of users. The wider rollout of the Android 12-based ColorOS update for the OPPO Find X3 and OnePlus 9 series can be seen in the upcoming few days.

In a piece of related news we saw OPPO announcing the closed beta program of ColorOS 12 for the OPPO Find X2 series in India and Indonesia last week. The closed beta program of Android 12 is opened for the OPPO Find X2, Find X2 Pro, and Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition users. The company is looking for 5,000 beta testers to test the Android 12 across all three phones.

If you own any Find X2 series device and want to try Android 12 beta, you can head over to Settings > Software Update and tap on the gear icon. You will have to select “Apply for Beta Version” and follow on-screen instructions to apply. If your application gets approved, you will receive the update via an OTA.
