OnePlus 9 Series Will Feature LTPO 2K Display, 120Hz Refresh Rate, More Specs Revealed Officially

OnePlus is all set to launch its latest flagship series called the OnePlus 9 series and the company has confirmed the launch on March 23rd, 2021 in India and across the globe. We have already witnessed a series of leaks and rumours about the flagship smartphones in the past several months. Now in the latest development, the company has officially announced the screen configurations of the OnePlus 9 series. Let’s have a closer look at the new configuration of the OnePlus 9 series confirmed by the officials.

According to an IT Home report, OnePlus officials have confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 9 series will feature a screen that has refreshed 13 display records and passed DisplayMate A+ certification. The OnePlus official also suggests that the smartphone will support a true 10bit 2K+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and up to 8192-level of brightness adjustment along with automatic colour temperature sensing. Further, the report claimed that the smartphone display will be the first batch of LTPO flexible displays.

Recently, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has unveiled the OnePlus 9 Pro officially. Lau’s post showcases the OnePlus 9 Pro in Morning Mist colour option, which has a silver colourway. The teaser image of the smartphone shows a curved display with a hole-punch cutout. According to the previous reports, the OnePlus 9 Pro is expected to flaunt a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the optical front, the smartphone houses a quad-camera setup which is confirmed to feature a 48MP Sony IMX789 sensor and a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. Going with the leaked camera specifications the 9 Pro is tipped to arrive with an 8MP telephoto lens with a 3.3x optical zoom and a 2MP depth sensor with an LED flash. Under the hood, the handset is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
