OnePlus Ace with Dimensity 8100, Triple-Rear Cameras Confirmed to Launch in China on April 21

The OnePlus Ace smartphone launch date has been officially confirmed by OnePlus. The company has revealed the upcoming phone’s launch date today on Weibo. The OnePlus Ace will be launched in China on April 21, which is just a week away from now.

The new phone from the brand has been in the news for the past few days. Previously, the possible OnePlus Ace with Dimensity 8100 SoC, 12GB RAM was spotted on the Geekbench database and most recently, the phone’s launch in China was teased along with that the company had also shared the first look of the phone. Now, the company has confirmed the launch date and also more official images of the phone were shared.

It is also rumoured that the OnePlus Ace launching in China could end up launching as the OnePlus 10R in India later this month, as the design of both phones seems to be similar. Let’s take a look at more details of the OnePlus Ace.

The OnePlus Ace will launch in China on April 21 at 7 PM local time, which is 4:30 PM IST. The launch invite image shows off the phone’s rear camera module and colour options. The device will come in Black and Blue colourways. The images also confirm that the phone will not come with a headphone jack and the alert slider seems to be missing as well.

OnePlus Ace: Specifications

The OnePlus Ace will come with MediaTek Dimnensity 8100 chipset, which the company has already confirmed. This octa-core chipset comes with four cores clocked at 2.85GHz and four other cores clocked at 2GHz and is coupled with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. Out of the box, the phone will run on Android 12. The phone will also come with support for 150W fast charging, according to leaks.

Furthermore, the Ace is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of optics, the handset is said to feature a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. The phone will have a 16MP selfie snapper.
