OnePlus, back in 2020, introduced the Nord series to cater to the mid-range segment. Now, a new rumour suggests that the Chinese brand might be planning to introduce another new lineup of smartphones. A new leak by popular tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the OnePlus will soon launch a new smartphone, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100, under an all-new Ace lineup.

The tipster further claims that the OnePlus Ace lineup will basically succeed the Oppo Ace lineup and will continue to focus on things like fast charging and gaming. To those unaware, OnePlus’ sister brand – Oppo used to have an Ace lineup of smartphones. The brand released the Oppo Ace back in 2019, which was followed by Oppo Ace 2 in 2020. Since then there has not been a handset with the Ace moniker.

Alongside, Digital Chat Station has also tipped the specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Ace series device.

OnePlus Ace Specifications and Features

As per the tipster, the first Ace series device will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. This will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage to enable a smooth gaming experience.

The OnePlus Ace series device is said to offer a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel will house the front selfie shooter inside a centered punch hole notch. As per the tipster, the display panels for the upcoming OnePlus handset are supplied by BOE.

Talking about the cameras, the upcoming OnePlus Ace device is said to offer a triple-rear camera setup including OnePlus’ favorite Sony IMX766 primary sensor. Accompanying this could be an 8MP (likely ultra-wide-angle) sensor and a 2MP sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device is said to offer a 16MP front shooter.

The upcoming OnePlus Ace series device could be the first OnePlus handset with 150W fast charging.
