OnePlus Buds Pro to Have ANC Like Oppo Enco X, Price in India Leaked Ahead of Launch

The OnePlus Buds Pro is slated to launch alongside the OnePlus Nord 2, and its tipped specs include good battery life and large drivers.

OnePlus Buds Pro

The OnePlus Buds Pro is set to launch alongside the Nord 2 at its July 22 online launch event, and ahead of its launch, a number of key details including its potential pricing have been tipped online. Posted by Twitter user Yogesh, who’s typically been reliable in terms of leaked information ahead of launches, the OnePlus Buds Pro may be pitched as a more premium product that falls closer to what Samsung offers with its Galaxy Buds lineup, instead of the usual range of sub-Rs 5,000 true wireless earbuds.

OnePlus Buds Pro: expected pricing

According to Yogesh’s post, the OnePlus Buds Pro is slated to cost Rs 9,999 in India, and EUR 159 in global markets. While the exact launch pricing may vary, and OnePlus may also offer a special launch pricing too, the OnePlus Buds Pro appears to be more expensive than the earbuds that OnePlus has offered so far. OnePlus has so far launched two true wireless earbuds — the Buds Z priced at Rs 2,999, and the standard Buds priced at Rs 4,990.

Other details

According to the information posted today, the upcoming OnePlus Buds Pro will feature “large” drivers, although there is no specification in terms of the exact driver size or make. Given that it would be a mainstream product, the Buds Pro should feature the usual dynamic drivers in its audio setup. It is also tipped to feature active noise cancellation, and the ANC levels are expected to be close to what the Oppo Enco W51, one of the best TWS earbuds on a budget in India, offer right now.

Other details include a transparency mode to help listeners tune into outside conversations without needing to take the earbuds off. The Buds Pro is also slated to come in two colour variants, and leaks have pointed at “really good battery life” as part of its feature set. This, however, is a bit vague since yet again, it does not point at any particular number. With an approximate 24-hour total playback time (including charging case) already on offer even by budget TWS earbuds, it will be interesting to see if the Buds Pro manage to exceed that.

The OnePlus Buds Pro is slated to launch alongside the Nord 2 later today, and much attention will be on the price of the new earbuds. A price tag of around Rs 10,000 will peg it in the premium products territory, so it will be interesting to see if OnePlus has more than just the expected, average feature set to offer with it.
