OnePlus recently launched the Buds Pro in India. The new TWS from OnePlus was launched at the OnePlus Nord 2 launch event. It took some time for the company’s premium truly wireless earbuds to go on sale in India. The Buds Pro with its premium specs and design also costs higher at Rs 9,999. The company is now gearing up to launch an affordable pair of TWS. The Buds 2Z might launch soon in India. OnePlus launched the Buds Z last year and the TWS is now due for an upgrade. According to a new report, the Buds 2Z will launch in October. Let’s take a look at the key details of the OnePlus Buds 2Z leaked ahead of the launch.
OnePlus Buds 2Z launch timeline tipped as design renders leak
OnePlus Buds 2Z launch is imminent. The company will launch its budget truly wireless earbuds in October 2021, according to a report. The 91Mobiles report, citing tipster OnLeaks, does not reveal the official launch date. However, the TWS is expected to debut alongside the OnePlus 9 RT in October.
It also shares the design renders of the upcoming OnePlus wireless earbuds. Based on the leaked renders, it is safe to say that the Buds 2Z will be fairly identical to the original Buds Z. The Buds 2Z earbuds will have a stem design. Each earbud will have a silicon rubber tip for added grip and sound isolation. The report states that the ear tips are slightly angled compared to the original Buds Z.
Each earbud has multiple cutouts. These could be for the mic and other sensors used for wear detection, noise isolation, etc. Since these are budget earbuds that would launch at around Rs 3,000 or lesser, we do not expect them to come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
The charging case design is also similar to the original Buds Z. It is a thick pill-shaped case with a USB Type-C port for charging. It continues to have the OnePlus branding on top of the charging case.
The TWS will launch in a White colour option. There is no word on whether OnePlus will launch the Buds 2Z in more colour options. What are your thoughts on the budget OnePlus TWS? Do let us know in the comments below.
