The OnePlus Buds Z2 is now official, the latest true wireless earbuds from OnePlus was just unveiled in China along with a new flagship phone, the OnePlus 9RT. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus had already confirmed seven major upgrades the Buds Z2 will be getting over the last-gen TWS. The key features of the OnePlus Buds Z2 include active noise cancellation, up to 38 hours of battery life, and a 94ms low-latency mode. The newly launched budget TWS borrows many features from the OnePlus Buds Pro which is currently priced at Rs 9,990 in India.
OnePlus Buds Z2 specification and features
The OnePlus Buds Z2 like its predecessor is a pair of budget true wireless earbuds with an in-ear style design along with a stem. In terms of case design, it looks pretty much similar to the OnePlus Buds Z. It harnesses a 11mm moving coil driver along with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with support for AAC/SBC codecs. The active noise cancellation is one of the major additions to the OnePlus Buds Z2. The buds will offer noise cancellation up to 40dB. Apart from ANC, there is also a transparency mode that allows you to be aware of your surroundings while listening to music. The earbuds come with three mics for calls. The buds are also IP55 rated. For controls, you get multiple touch functions like single click, double click, triple-click, and long press.
In terms of battery life, it will offer 7 hours of battery life on a single charge with the buds and up to 31 hours with the case which houses a 520mAh battery – taking the total count to 38 hours. A quick 10-minute charge will offer up to 5 hours of music playback while a full charge takes 90 minutes. For charging, you get a USB Type-C port on the back of the case. There is also a low-latency mode which takes the latency down to 94ms and Dolby Atmos on select OnePlus devices.
OnePlus Buds Z2 price
The OnePlus Buds Z2 is priced at CNY 499 in China which is around Rs 5,850. The Buds Z2 comes in two colour options – Day White and Night Black. There is no word on the India availability yet.
