Features and Specifications
Most of the features of the Buds Z2 are borrowed from the more premium OnePlus Buds Pro. Just like the Pro, the OnePlus Buds Z2 also offers up to 40db active noise cancellation, the same as the Buds Pro. On the inside, there is an 11mm bass-tuned dynamic driver setup with support for Dolby Atmos support (select devices). There is Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with support as well as support for AAC/SBC codecs. However, it misses out on the support for LHDC.
Further, in terms of battery life, the Buds Z2 features a 520mAh battery on the inside and they’re rated to last up to 38 hours including the case with the buds themselves offering up to 7 hours of battery life. A quick 10-minute charge will offer up to 5 hours of music playback while a full charge takes 90 minutes. For charging, you get a USB Type-C port and there’s no wireless charger support. There is also a low-latency mode which takes the latency down to 94ms.
For controls, you get touch functions like single click, double click, triple-click, and long press. Apart from ANC, there is also a transparency mode that allows you to be aware of your surroundings. The earbuds come with three mics for calls and noise cancellation. They are also IP55 rated for dust and water resistance.
