The second wave of COVID-19 in India has forced many states to impose a lockdown where people are allowed to go out of their houses in restricted time zones. Considering the scenario the smartphone manufacturers are extending the warranties on their products. Brands like Xiaomi, OPPO, and Realme have already announced the extension and now OnePlus has also joined the list. OnePlus has also taken a similar initiative by announcing an extension of “warranty for all our products to 30th June 2021 for those with an expiry date between 1st April and 29th June 2021.” The company announced the details on its official support forum.
OnePlus Extends Warranty On Its Product
“I hope you continue to be safe and healthy through these trialing times. We would like to take a moment to let you know that the OnePlus Support team has put actions into place for the well-being of our employees, customers, community members, and partners during the current unforeseen circumstances,” Tom B, Global Service Strategy Operations, Staff Member OnePlus wrote on the forum.
OnePlus mentioned that there will be a delay in the delivery of recently ordered products due to the ongoing COVID-19 scenario. However, the delay in delivery is subjected to certain locations and OnePlus also mentioned that it is unable to fulfil the demand at present. Further, the forum suggests that the company won’t be able to predict the delivery date of your order, but the OnePlus assured that the orders will be shipped as soon as possible from their end.
OnePlus also confirmed that most of their service centre operations are halted temporarily until further notice from the government. The after-sales services will be resumed as soon as the situation eases. Let’s see when everything goes back to normal. Realme has recently announced that those products whose warranty expires between May 1 to June 30 will get an extended warranty till July 31st.
