OnePlus is gearing up for the Nord 2 launch event in India. The new OnePlus smartphone will debut on July 22. Ahead of the launch, the company has started dropping a few teasers, confirming some key details of the upcoming device. Alongside, some details of the Nord 2’s camera have also leaked. Tipster Ishan Agarwal has reiterated some of the previously leaked information, further confirming that the Nord 2 will sport a triple-camera setup. The tipster has also revealed some details of the device’s primary camera sensor. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus Nord 2 specs, features and other details.

OnePlus Nord 2 camera details

OnePlus Nord 2 launches in India on July 22. Ahead of the launch, some details around the device’s camera module have leaked online. Tipster Ishan Agarwal claims that the Nord 2’s triple-camera setup will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera. The primary camera will support Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). This is the same sensor that was used on the OPPO Find X3 Pro and the OnePlus 9 series’ ultrawide camera. Previously leaked reports stated that the device will feature an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP tertiary sensor.

OnePlus is yet to officially confirm the device’s camera module details. Considering that the company is revealing some features every other day, the wait for the camera sensor confirmation should not be a long one.

OnePlus has confirmed some of the Nord 2 specifications ahead of the launch. It is confirmed to come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will sport a single hole punch cutout for the front camera. OnePlus has not yet announced the front camera sensor details at the moment. The display will also come with an HDR10+ certification. Lastly, the Nord 2 is confirmed to run Oxygen OS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box. It is the first OnePlus smartphone to run on the OS, which is based on integrated OxygenOS and ColorOS codebase.

The performance engine will include a Dimensity 1200 AI SoC. OnePlus has announced that it has worked closely with MediaTek to customise the SoC for the Nord 2. It could come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
