OnePlus has launched the Nord 2 in India. The new OnePlus smartphone replaces the original Nord has the company’s new mid-range offering in India. It sits below the OnePlus 9R, which was launched earlier this year for Rs 39,999. The Nord 2 price in India starts at Rs 29,999. It comes in two storage configurations with up to 12GB of RAM. The device features a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It competes against the likes of Xiaomi Mi 11X, iQOO 7, Realme X7 Max and the Poco F3 GT. OnePlus Nord 2 price in India
The OnePlus Nord 2 comes in three storage options. The base 6GB + 128GB option is priced at Rs 27,999. The 12GB + 256GB option is priced at Rs 34,999. There is also an 8GB + 128GB variant sitting between the two options and is priced at Rs 29,999. The phone comes in three colours – Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and a special edition Green Wood colour option.
The 8GB RAM variant will go on sale starting July 28 via the OnePlus India online store, Amazon India, Vijay Sales and other retail partners. The other two storage options will go on sale in India in August 2021.
Specifications and features
The Nord 2 features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The flat display has thin bezels and a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. It comes with HDR10+ certification and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back.
Under the hood, the phone draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI SoC under the hood. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. It comes with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation support. The camera module also houses an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and comes with AI face unlock support.
Connectivity options include 5G, dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.2 , WiFi 6, USB Type-C port, etc. The device runs Android 11-based Oxygen OS 11.3 out of the box. It weighs 189 grams and measures 158.9×73.2×8.25mm.
