The launch timeline of the rumoured OnePlus Nord 2T smartphone has surfaced online, and according to a report by 91mobiles, the smartphone will likely be launched some time in April or May this year.

The device has been tipped to be the first smartphone in the ‘T’ cycle of upgrades that OnePlus would bring to its mid-range Nord portfolio. In effect, this would also increase the range of devices on offer in the Nord range, alongside OnePlus’ flagship devices as well.

OnePlus Nord 2T: Expected Features

In terms of the specifications of this upcoming device, the OnePlus Nord 2T is expected to feature a 6.43-inch, full HD+ AMOLED display with a central drill-hole front camera slot, and 90Hz refresh rate. It has also been tipped to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, along with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Powering the phone’s software experience should be OxygenOS 12, based on the latest Android 12.

Other expected features include a triple rear camera, with 50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP monochrome unit making up the configuration. The front camera is expected to feature a 32MP sensor. The OnePlus Nord 2T may also come with a 4,500mAh battery with 80W Super VOOC fast charging standard, which reports state will be the same as what the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro will feature.

Expected Pricing

The OnePlus Nord 2T has been tipped to launch between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000, which will seemingly diversify it from the upcoming, ‘CE’ cycle device. The Nord 2T is also likely to head the company’s mid-range portfolio of devices, which may get a new, sub-Rs 20,000 device as well. With all of these launches, the OnePlus Nord range may offer a new, sub-Rs 20,000 offering, a Nord 2 CE priced between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000, and the Nord 2T priced under Rs 40,000. The flagship OnePlus phones should therefore be priced at above Rs 40,000, which is constant with its present offering.

OnePlus is reportedly in process of expanding its portfolio of devices, ever since came under fellow BBK Electronics brand Oppo’s umbrella, and the latest ‘T’ series of Nord devices is a likely part of the same.
