OnePlus Nord 2T Leaked Render Reveals Sandstone Style Rear Panel, Dual Flash, Triple-Cameras

The OnePlus Nord 2T appears to feature an unconventional rear camera setup, but the sandstone back may be liked by loyalists.

OnePlus is reportedly testing a new smartphone in India, and the latter is also under the brand’s mid-range Nord lineup. The OnePlus Nord series brought the company back to the original price segment that it introduced its very first smartphone in, and now, the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2T appears set to continue on this note. Now, 91mobiles has shared renders of the upcoming smartphone, which is now reportedly in testing in India.

OnePlus Nord 2T: What the Renders Show

According to the renders, OnePlus fans would like to note that the OnePlus Nord 2T may bring back the original sandstone back rear panel finish. The latter is something that was largely loved by all followers, users and loyalists of the brand, but has since been phased out for other finishes such as frosted glass. Now, the OnePlus Nord 2T appears to be bringing the same back.

Apart from the sandstone back finish, the Nord 2T appears to feature a triple rear camera setup housed in a raised module, with a different, blue colour finish. The camera module was already spotted previously by Pricebaba, with one very large camera that is almost certainly the primary unit – and two smaller ones placed within a second circle inside the module, but asymmetrically. Such lack of symmetry is typically not seen on smartphones, mainly due to the symmetry and regularisation of the design of the circuit board inside.

Nevertheless, the OnePlus Nord 2T also appears to house two LED flashes. The 91mobiles report also states that the smartphone will feature a drill-hole slot as a notch to its upper-left corner, and feature a plastic frame for its body.

In terms of other specifications, the upcoming Nord 2T is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. It is also tipped to feature a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup is expected to feature a 50MP main camera, along with the other 8MP and 2MP camera units. To the front, it could get a 32MP camera. Finally, the entire setup could be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging standard – and feature Android 12 out of the box.

The OnePlus Nord 2T could bring the ’T’ cycle refresh to OnePlus’ mid-range Nord series as well, and is likely a part of the increased product launch plans that the company reportedly has now after its closer integration with Oppo. However, there is no word on a potential launch date for now.
