OnePlus had announced its first mid-range smartphone in quite a while called the OnePlus Nord in India and other markets last month. Since then, the device has gone on sale once on 6 August where it had apparently received ‘overwhelming response’ during the pre-orders. Now the company has announced that it will be conducting a second sale for the device on 20 August. However, the lower 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, which is priced at Rs 24,999, is still not available.
OnePlus Nord: Price and availability
The company has announced that it will be putting its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version on sale for Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively. There are currently no offers being announced but you can be part of OnePlus’ exclusive Red Cable club which will entail 6 months of extended warranty, 50GB of cloud storage and other benefits.
OnePlus Nord: Specifications
As for specs, the OnePlus Nord comes with a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a 2400 x 1080 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has a dual punch-hole display that houses two selfie shooters and the front, as well as the back, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC along with 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage is an option between 128GB and 256GB and there is no further option to expand it using a microSD card. In terms of software, the phone will run on Android 10-based OxygenOS.
In the camera department, the device has a quad-camera setup on the back with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera happens to be a 32MP sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The entire setup is powered by a 4,115mAh battery which gets backing from OnePlus’ Warp Charge 30T support
