OnePlus launched its first Nord-branded earbuds in India. The new Nord Buds came to India as an affordable smartphone offering. The company launched the TWS at a very competitive price and is currently available for less than Rs 3,000 in India. The Nord Buds were launched last year in May. The company might soon launch a successor to its affordable earbuds soon in India and other markets. We say so based on a listing of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 on the Bureau of Indian Standards website.
The listing on the BIS website suggests that the Nord Buds 2 launch could take place soon. Let’s take a look at more details about the upcoming OnePlus Nord Buds 2 known so far.
OnePlus Nord Buds 2 BIS Listing
The OnePlus Nord Buds 2, which could launch soon, is likely to be the next generation of affordable TWS for budget buyers in India and other markets. The BIS listing reveals that the TWS has the model number E508A.
The BIS listing does not reveal any other details about the earbuds. However, some other details of the earbuds had leaked, courtesy of a couple of other certifications. The Nord Buds 2 was spotted on the CQC certification website, which revealed that the charging case will come with a Type-C charging port. The case will support at least 4.5W charging, whereas the earbuds could support 1.5W charging.

The earbuds have also been spotted on the IMDA certification website but not much was revealed via the listing. Other details about the upcoming Nord Buds 2 remain unknown at the moment. We will share more details as and when available.
The Nord Buds, meanwhile, continue to be on sale in India via various channels. The earbuds feature a 12.4mm titanium dynamic driver. Each earbud packs a 41mAh battery which is claimed to deliver music playback of up to 7 hours. The case provides an additional 30 hours of juice. The earbuds, which sport a flat stem design, come with an IP55 rating for sweat and dust resistance.
