OnePlus made a long-awaited comeback in the mid-range segment last month and launched OnePlus Nord in India and Europe. To recall, OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch 90Hz AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, and sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM. OnePlus Nord has been the talk of the town since its launch, and as a result, it became a bestseller on amazon.in in no time. Earlier this month, Global Marketing Manager and Global Spokesperson, POCO Global, Angus Kai Ho Ng, hinted towards the launch of OnePlus Nord competitor. Today, Angus, in a tweet shared that upcoming POCO smartphone will feature a high refresh rate display.

Upcoming POCO smartphone will feature a 120Hz Display
If we go by the tweet, it looks like the upcoming POCO device will pack a 120Hz refresh rate display. As per a claim by a twitter user, Abhishek, Angus in a tweet had mentioned 120Hz AMOLED display but it was later deleted.

Xiaomi has quite a few devices under the Redmi K30 series that support 120Hz display but the recently launched Redmi K30 Ultra is the only device in Xiaomi’s vast portfolio that has a 120Hz AMOLED display. If the information turns out true, we might see Redmi K30 Ultra launching as a POCO device globally. To recall, Redmi K30 Pro was launched globally as POCO F2 Pro back in May, so it will not be surprising to see another Redmi device being launched under POCO branding. A few months ago, POCO had also launched Redmi K30 4G variant as POCO X2 in India.
To those unaware, POCO F2 is a highly anticipated smartphone and people have been anxiously waiting for it for more than a year now. The first phone in the series and the very first POCO device, POCO F1 was released exactly two years ago in Aug 2018, but it is yet to see a successor. We are expecting the next POCO device to be POCO F2 and it will be a worthy successor to the OG POCOPHONE in case POCO Global decides to launch Redmi K30 Ultra as POCO F2 in global markets. Xiaomi has already confirmed that it has no plans to launch Redmi K30 Ultra in the global market but we never know if the brand had a plan to launch it under one of its sub-brand. Would you like to see Redmi K30 Ultra as POCO F2, do share your thoughts in the comments below?
