OnePlus 7 Series devices will soon receive Android 11 based Open Beta Update!

The company says that it worked closely with Qualcomm, and is already running Closed Beta tests for these devices. To those unaware, earlier, the company had cited a data-encryption related issue behind the delay in Android 11 update for OnePlus 7 series devices.

We have been working in parallel to release OxygenOS 11 to all these devices at the same time. As you may have heard, when porting Android 11 to the 7 and 7T series, we encountered a data decryption issue in these devices.

We worked closely with Qualcomm and, with their support, we are already running a Closed Beta test.

We expect to release the first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series shortly after.

OnePlus says that it is expecting to release the first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta update for OnePlus 7, and OnePlus 7T series devices shortly after the conclusion of the Closed Beta program. Going by this, we can expect the company to release Open Beta builds for these devices this month itself. A few weeks back, OnePlus shocked its fans and enthusiasts when it revealed that Android 11 update will be the last Android platform update for Nord N10 5G and Nord N100.
