OnePlus is all set to foray into the foldable smartphone category with the OnePlus Open. The OnePlus Open will make global debut as well as its India debut tomorrow (October 19). Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has revealed the OnePlus Open display specifications.

Alongside, folks at 91mobiles have spotted the OnePlus Open on the Geekbench benchmark database and FCC certification. The Geekbench listing reveals that the OnePlus Open will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Let us take a closer look at the details.

OnePlus Open To Feature 120Hz LTPO Display Panels

OnePlus Open will feature a book style form factor. The cover display on the device will be a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with Ceramic Guard protection. The Ceramic Guard is claimed to offer 20% more impact resistant than Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus. It will feature 120Hz refresh rate and will support 2800 nits peak brightness.


The folding display on the OnePlus Open will measure 7.82-inches in size. It will also be an LTPO AMOLED panel which will feature a corner punch hole notch to accommodate the selfie camera. The display panel will offer 2800nits peak brightness and will refresh 120 times per second.

The teasers also confirm that the OnePlus Open will come in two colour options – Green and Black.

OnePlus Open To Feature 4,805mAh Battery with 80W SuperVOOC Charging

OnePlus Open with model number CPH2551 made an appearance on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database. The listing reveals that the OnePlus’s first foldable will come equipped with a dual-cell battery. The dual-cell batteries will enable a total of 4805mAh battery on the OnePlus Open. This will likely be the typical capacity of the battery. Whereas, the rated capacity will likely be 4680mAh.

There is also a mention of VCB8JAUH charger in the FCC listing which suggests that the OnePlus Open might feature support for 80W SuperVOOC charging.

OnePlus Open with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Appears on Geekbench

The OnePlus Open has been spotted on the Geekbench 6 benchmark database. As per the benchmark listing, the upcoming foldable from OnePlus scored 2014 points in the single core round of the test. The OnePlus Open Geekbench listing suggests that the OnePlus Open will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is fabbed on TSMC’s 4nm processor and brings with it an integrated Adreno 740 GPU. The smartphone will be equipped with 16GB of RAM and will come pre-loaded with Android 13.
