The OnePlus Open India launch date has been officially announced by the brand today. As per the details shared by the company via its X (formerly Twitter) handle, the OnePlus Open will launch in India on October 19. The launch event of the smartphone will take place in Mumbai at 7:30 PM IST. Apart from sharing the launch date, OnePlus also has shared the teaser image of the device. The teaser image reveals that the device will have a thin design, a three-stage alert slider, and a book-style form factor.

OnePlus Open Will Have the Lighest and Durable Build
The company, on its community forum, notes that the OnePlus Open is a pinnacle of flagship foldable technology, and it is the lightest and most durable foldable phone. Furthermore, the brand mentions that the device has an epic camera system. The leaked specifications suggest that the handset will feature a 7.8-inch display with a resolution of 2268 × 2440 pixels. The handset is tipped to feature a 6.31-inch display on the outer side which could have a 2484 × 1116 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
As far as the other specifications of the device go, it is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The smartphone might pack up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. In terms of imaging, it is expected to feature a triple-camera setup which could include a 48MP primary camera, 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP telephoto sensor.
The selfie department on the handset could be handled by a 32MP camera. The device might ship with a 4,805mAh battery which could support up to 100W fast charging. We can expect the handset to boot Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.2 out of the box. The recent leak revealed that smartphone will cost $1,700 (Roughly Rs 1,41,500) in the US market.
As confirmed by the OnePlus founder previously, the OnePlus Open and the Find N3 will be the same smartphones. These devices are confirmed to feature a 37% smaller hinge than the OPPO Find N2’s hinge. Additionally, it is confirmed that both these devices will be adopting 31 fewer components, which will make them lighter yet stronger. To recall, OPPO’s Find N3 is also set to launch in China on October 19.

Apart from announcing the launch date of the OnePlus Open today, the company also has started selling the OnePlus Open pre-reserve pass today. The OnePlus Open pre-reserve pass costs Rs 5,000. If you purchase the pass, you can get a chance to get an exclusive invite to attend the OnePlus Open global launch event which is set to take place on October 19 in Mumbai. With the pass, customers will also get an opportunity to purchase the OnePlus Open at the event venue, before anyone else in the world.
Last but not least, OnePlus will also offer the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 at no extra cost on the purchase of the OnePlus Open at the event venue, or on the OnePlus India website, or the OnePlus Store app once pre-orders of the device begin.
It’s worth noting that one user can buy only one pass only. The Rs 5,000 paid for purchasing this pass can be redeemed when you purchase the new OnePlus Open on the day of the launch event or during the pre-booking period. If the pre-reserve pass is not redeemed offline at the Launch Event, post the launch event or on the OnePlus India website or the OnePlus Store app, the purchaser will get a refund within 30 days post October 27.
