OPPO A12 Key Specifications Revealed by Bluetooth SIG, OPPO A72 and CPH2069 Certified Too

OPPO is reportedly working on launching its OPPO A12 smartphone soon. A little while ago, we were able to spot the OPPO A12 on the Thai NBTC certification website, which was the first time that the moniker of the device was confirmed. Post that, a new leak popped up on the internet, which gave us a working idea as to what the OPPO A12 would look like. The leak also included almost all the specifications and features of the device. Today, we were able to spot the OPPO A12 on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, which has double-checked some of the previously leaked specifications of the device. Furthermore, two more OPPO smartphones, OPPO A72 smartphone (model number OPPO CPH2067) and an unnamed CPH2069 have also received Bluetooth SIG certification. Take a look at the Bluetooth SIG certification for the above-mentioned smartphones and find out what they have in store for us.

OPPO A12: Bluetooth SIG Reveals Key Specifications

As per the Bluetooth SIG certification, the OPPO A12 (with the model number OPPO CPH2083) will be a four-band(850/900/1800/1900) GSM/GPRS and three-band(B1/B5/B8) WCDMA and seven-band(B1/3/5/7/8/20/28) FDD-LTE and four-band(B38/B40/B41) TD-LTE device. It will feature a 6.22-inch HD+ display, a 2.0GHz MediaTek octa-core processor, and a 4,230mAh battery. The device will run on ColorOS 6.1.2 skin. Plus, it will support 2.4G & 5G Wi-Fi bands.

Speaking of the specifications of the OPPO A12 that have already been leaked, the OPPO A12 will allegedly flaunt a waterdrop notch display. The device is said to measure 155.9 x 75.5 x 8.3mm and weigh in at 165 grams. The leaked render of the OPPO A12 showcased a blue diamond-cut variant of the device.

Powering the OPPO A12 will be an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, which will be paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage. Whether or not the OPPO A12 will have support for storage expansion is anyone’s guess as of now. In the software department, the OPPO A12 will ship with Android 9 Pie with the company’s very own ColorOS 6.1.2 skin baked on top of it.

Coming to the battery department, as mentioned earlier, the OPPO A12 will sport a 4,230mAh battery, but we are not sure whether the OPPO A12 will come with support for fast charging or not.

In terms of photography, the OPPO A12 will sport a dual rear camera setup, which will include a 13MP primary lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the OPPO A12 will flaunt a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Shifting gears to the other two smartphones that we mentioned in the beginning, the OPPO A72 and the OPPO CPH2069 have also received the Bluetooth SIG certification, but the certification does not tell us anything about their specifications and features. It does not even reveal their monikers. That being said, since these devices have started their certification journey, we can expect them to show up on more certification websites soon.
