Oppo A16e with Helio P22 SoC, 4230mAh Battery Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Oppo has unveiled a new budget centric smartphone in India, dubbed the Oppo A16e. The phone arrives as a toned-down version of the previously available Oppo A16. The Oppo A16e features an Helio P22 SoC, 3/4GB of RAM, 13MP primary rear camera and more. Let’s take a closer look at the newly arrived Oppo A16e, features, specifications and price in India.

Oppo A16e Price in India, Availability

The A16e from Oppo arrives in two storage options, 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB in India. The phone is available in three colour options – Midnight Black, Blue, and White. The company has not disclosed the pricing of the smartphone yet.

However, MySmartPrice previously reported that the A16e was set to be priced at Rs 9,990 and Rs 11,990 in the country.

Oppo A16 Specifications

The Oppo A16e is built around a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 269PPI. There’s a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protecting the display. The display panel has a waterdrop notch housing the selfie camera.

Powering the smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The Oppo A16e runs on Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box. Storage on the phone could be further expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

As for the optics, the handset sports a single 13MP primary camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens aperture on the rear with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.4 lens. Under the hood, there’s a 4,230mAh battery. The phone measures 164×75.4×7.8mm in dimensions and weighs 175 grams.

Connectivity options on the Oppo A16e include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
