Oppo has launched a new budget smartphone in India. The company has unveiled the Oppo A16K, which is priced around Rs 10,000. The smartphone comes in a single storage option. Being a budget smartphone, the phone has a plastic body. It also comes with a single rear camera on the back, which is located in the rectangular camera module. The phone sports a water-drop notch at the top of the display.

As mentioned above, Oppo has launched the A16K in India in a single storage configuration. The phone has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It comes with a price tag of Rs 10,490. The company is offering no-cost EMI options on leading bank cards. It is available for purchase via all major online and offline channels starting today. Oppo has launched the device in three colour options – Black, White, and Blue.
Specifications and Features
The Oppo A16K is a budget smartphone offering in India and much like other smartphones in the price range, the phone has an IPS LCD. The display on this device is 6.52-inch tall and comes with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. There is a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone’s screen is surrounded by narrow bezels with a thicker chin. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate support.
On the back, there is a rectangular module housing a single 13MP rear camera sensor. The camera supports up to 5x zoom and comes with a bunch of filters, Dazzle Colour Mode, Night Filters, etc.
For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera. It comes with various modes and features like HDR, Natural Skin retouching, AI Palette, etc. The phone is about 175 grams heavy and 7.85mm slim. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom.
Under the hood, the A16K has a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. It is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Users can expand the phone’s memory using a microSD card. The phone packs a 4230 mAh battery. There is no mention of fast charging support but we can expect the phone to come with 10W charging via micro-USB. It runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 Lite out of the box. The new update comes with features like FlexDrop, Three-finger Translate, and Freeform Screenshot, etc. Lastly, the Oppo A16K is IPX4 certified for splash resistance.
