Vivo is gearing up to launch two new budget smartphones under the Vivo Y series. The company is expected to launch the Vivo Y22s and Vivo Y16 soon in some global markets. Ahead of the launch, MySmartPrice recently shared an exclusive report where the specs of the two Vivo phones were revealed.
On the other hand, OPPO is also gearing up to launch a new OPPO A series device called the OPPO A17 as the successor to the OPPO A16. The OPPO A17 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and GCF certifications. Let’s take a look at all three phones in detail.
OPPO A17, Vivo Y22s and Vivo Y16 Clears Global Certification Ahead of Launch
Starting off with the OPPO device, the upcoming OPPO A series smartphone with CPH2477 has been spotted on the GCF certification site, which also further confirms the device as OPPO A17. The device will the same model number has also been spotted on the BIS certification website in India. This means the device is expected to launch in the global market as well as the Indian market soon.
Coming to the Vivo smartphones, the Vivo Y series smartphones with model numbers V2204 and V2206 have been spotted on the GCF site. These devices have been identified as Vivo Y16 and Vivo Y22s. Apart from the model number and monikers, the site does not reveal much about the phones.
Vivo Y22s, Vivo Y16 Specifications
The Vivo Y22s will come with Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM plus an additional 8GB of Virtual RAM support. The Y22s will come with a large 5,000mAh battery unit with 18W fast charging support. On the front, the device will feature a 90Hz display with 2.5D curved glass. The device will also come with IP54 dust and water resistance rating. Lastly, the Vivo Y22s will feature a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. There is an 8MP selfie camera as well.
On the other hand, the Vivo Y16 will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with support for 1GB of Virtual RAM. The phone will feature a 13MP f/2.2 main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. Like the Y22s, the Vivo Y16 will also come with a 5,000mAh battery. But, this will support only 10W charging and there is also support for 5W reverse wireless charging. The device will be available in Black and Gold colours.
