OPPO launched the OPPO A2 Pro 5G and the OPPO A2x 5G smartphones in China a couple of days back. Now, after the launch of these new devices, OPPO is prepping up for the unveiling of two A-series smartphones such as OPPO A2m and OPPO A2. The prior was spotted on the TENAA certification website last month. The specifications, renders, and pricing of the device, were also revealed by the China Telecom listing recently. Now, in a recent development, the OPPO A2 has received the TENAA certification in China.
OPPO A2 Model Number, Design, and More Revealed
The TENAA certification reveals the model number of the OPPO A2 as PJB110. The certification also discloses that the device will feature a dual-camera setup at the back accompanied by an LED flash. The front of the device consists of a punch-hole cutout which will accommodate the selfie camera.
As far as the specifications of the device go, it will feature a 6.72-inch display. The display panel might have a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone under the hood there will be an octa-core 2.2GHz SoC. The device will arrive in 8GB/12GB RAM options along with 128GB/256GB and 512GB storage configurations. On the software side of things, the device will boot Android 13 out of the box with ColorOS 13 skin on top.
When it comes to imaging, the handset will feature a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video-calling purposes, the handset will rely on an 8MP camera. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery which no doubt will offer fast charging support. Dimensions-wise, the handset will measure 165.6 x 76 x 7.9mm and weigh 193 grams.
At present, the OPPO A2 launch date is yet to be revealed by OPPO. However, considering that it now has received the TENAA certification, we can expect it to launch in the coming few days.
Apart from OPPO A2, OPPO could also be introducing the OPPO A2m in China in the next few days. The price of the device is expected to start in China at CNY 1499 (Roughly Rs 17,100). The smartphone is rumoured to feature an HD+ resolution display, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP selfie camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device could be powered by Dimensity 700 SoC. It is tipped to launch in Starry Night Black and Flying Frost Purple colour options.
