Oppo is rumoured to launch the A16K smartphone soon in India. The company launched its budget smartphone in the Philippines last year. The device is expected to launch later this month in India for Rs 10,490.

While we wait for that smartphone, Oppo has launched another smartphone under the A-series in China, the Oppo A36. The device comes with a Snapdragon processor under the hood. There is no 5G network support. The device also comes in a single storage option in China. There is no word on the official launch date in India.

Oppo A35 is the latest budget smartphone from the company launched in China. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device is priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 18,600). It comes in two shades- Black and Blue.

Specifications and Features

The Oppo A36 features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD. It has an HD+ resolution and sports a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner. The phone comes with a 90Hz refresh rate support as well. The bezels around the display are thin, except for the chin.

On the back, there is a dual-camera setup with an LED flash located inside the rectangular module. It has a 13MP main camera and a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP front camera with an f/2,0 aperture.

Under the hood, the A36 has a Snapdragon 680 SoC. The company is offering 8GB of RAM as standard with 256GB of internal storage. The device comes with microSD card support. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging. The device runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.
