The OPPO A5 was launched at INR 14,990. But, now with the latest INR 1,000 price cut, the smartphone has become slightly more affordable at INR 13,990. The price cut should make OPPO more competitive in the affordable Indian mobile phone space, as it continues to be engaged in an ongoing battle of market share with brands such as Xiaomi and Vivo.
The OPPO A5 was launched back in July 2018 and offered a budget-friendly solution to buyers who did not want to splurge a small fortune on a flagship or a mid-ranger. If you are planning to get the A5, read on to find out more about it.
OPPO A5 Price Cut Details and Where You Can Get It From
On Instagram, smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom shared a picture of a placard displaying the OPPO A5 with information on the latest price reduction from INR 14,990 to INR 13,990. The promotional material also indicates that there could be a limited number of units remaining, so those interested in purchasing one should rush to the nearest store.
Luckily, the price cut is not exclusive to brick and mortar shops. Flipkart too is offering the OPPO A5 for INR 13,990. If you don’t like to step out from the comfort of your house, we’d recommend placing your order on Flipkart as the e-commerce website has a couple of bank offers going on.
First up is 10 percent discount offer on using your Axis Bank Buzz credit card, with the maximum discount allowed being INR 400. This is a better deal than the Mastercard one because while it might state that you’re getting a 10 percent discount, the maximum savings you’re allowed is only INR 100. Additionally, you’re getting a 1-year warranty for the smartphone and 6 months for its accessories, so there’s no reason why you should put up with terrible traffic just to buy a smartphone. Unless, of course you want to experience the look and feel of the device before making a purchase.
