OPPO just recently announced a new budget centric smartphone called the OPPO A12 but it seems that the company is preparing to launch another smartphone under the A-series brand name. As per a new report, the Chinese smartphone giant is ‘soon’ going to announce a new device called the OPPO A52 in India and it will also be in the budget category. The report states a few key details about the phone’s processing and design elements, but there is no clarity on what exact date the device will be launched.

OPPO A52: Expected features and price

The phone is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and it will have up to 8GB of RAM. Unlike the A12, the OPPO A52 will feature a punch-hole style display for housing the selfie shooter. Apart from that, the device will be running on the ColorOS 7.0 UI which is proprietary to OPPO and is also based on Android 10. Being a budget-centric phone it can be assumed that the device should be priced somewhere under the Rs 10,000 mark. The phone had earlier been announced in China for a price of CNY 1,599 which is about Rs 17,500, but this is for the top-end variant which has 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage

“With the launch of OPPO A52, the brand is all set to reinforce its capabilities by empowering customers with advanced technology at a pocket-friendly price point,” Oppo said in a statement to Economic Times. The phone is said to be a successor of the OPPO A31 that had been launched earlier this year. There will also be new products being launched in the audio category after the company reportedly received an “overwhelming response” for the Enco wireless audio series.
