The Oppo A7 has leaked several times in the past and today marks yet another day when the smartphone has shown up on the internet. In the latest revelation coming from SlashLeaks, we have got to know the specifications and pricing of the upcoming phone. According to the leak, the Oppo A7 seems to be pack decent specifications but nothing that we have not seen before. Let’s check out the specifications and pricing of this phone.

Oppo A7 Renders, Price Leaked
The leak revealed that the Oppo A7 will come with a 6.2-inch TFT LCD screen at 1520×720 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The leaked renders of the phone show a waterdrop notch on top of the front panel. Unlike the recently launched Oppo phones, this one does not have a gradient back design. It will come powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which we expect to be expandable via microSD card. On the imaging front, the phone will pack 13MP+2MP dual camera setup at the rear and a 16MP selfie snapper at the front.

Concerning software, the phone will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out-of-the-box. A 4230mAh battery will complete the package. The Oppo A7 will measure 155.9×75.4×8.1mm and weigh 158 grams. Of course, as it is a leak, we cannot completely vouch for these specifications of the upcoming phone. Regarding pricing of the phone, it may launch at CNY 1599 (approx. INR 16,885) in China.
Launching on November 13, Will It Stand The Competition?
The Oppo A7 is expected to launch on November 13, 2018, in China. Given the leaked specifications and pricing of this phone, we think that Oppo could have integrated a more powerful processor under the hood. Smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro packs a better SoC (SD 660) at a lesser price than this one. Although, the leaked specifications cannot be deemed as final, if they do turn out to be true then Oppo A7 may not surface as one of the best mid-range phones in the segment.
For now, we don’t know whether Oppo will be launching this phone outside China. If it brings it to India, we don’t think that the device will be able to stand the competition from the likes of Realme 2 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, and others. In India, the under 15K segment is brimming with the best of phones and if the Oppo A7 indeed packs the specifications as mentioned in the leak, it will have a hard time finding ground.
To recall, Oppo launched the Oppo A7x a month back, which packed a gradient back design and a waterdrop notch on the top. The phone has a 6.3-inch display with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It packed an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone included a 16MP+2MP dual camera at the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera. The A7x was launched at CNY 2099 (approx. INR 22,149) in China.
In contrast to the previous reports that suggested the Oppo A7 to be a toned-down version of the A7x, the former packs better specs in terms of front camera. The leaked specs do not have any official confirmation, we have our fair share of doubts on the front camera specifications as it may not be better than the Oppo A7x.
