Oppo has silently launched a new A-series handset in Malaysia. The latest A-series device – Oppo A76 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and 6GB of RAM. It offers a large display, but it is an HD+ display only. The handset packs a large 5,000mAh battery and supports fast charging as well.

The Oppo A76 is launched in only configuration – 6GB + 128GB. It is priced at RM 899 which translates to about Rs 16,000.

The A76 features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 720 × 1612 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. There is a punch-hole notch on the top left corner of the display that houses the front selfie shooter.

Powering the handset is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and Adreno 610 GPU. This is the same processor that powers Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i, and is built on a 6nm fabrication process. The A76 packs 128GB of storage, and 6GB of RAM. In addition to 6GB of RAM, it also offers 5GB of Virtual RAM.

The Oppo A76 offers a dual-rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary shooter on the device is a 13MP sensor which gets accompanied by a 2MP mono sensor. For selfies, it is equipped with an 8MP front shooter.

The Oppo A76 relies on a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 33W fast charging. It packs a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that also doubles as the power button. It is not clear if the handset packs a Type-C or a micro-USB charging port.

The Oppo A76 comes in two colour options – Glowing Black and Glowing Blue. It measures 164.4 × 75.7 × 8.39mm and weighs 189grams. The Oppo A76 boots Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1.
