At the INR 19,990 asking price of the OPPO A9 (2020), you get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. While there aren’t any other storage variants, you do get two color options to choose from – Marine Green, and Space Purple. There aren’t any flash sale shenanigans as the phone seems to be readily available for purchase on Amazon. As for offline availability, retail outlets will have the phone in stock by September 19.
As far as launch offers are concerned, Amazon is offering up to INR 9,200 off if you turn in your old phone for exchange, with an additional INR 2,500 off if you turn in an OPPO smartphone. Along with ‘No cost’ EMI plans via various banks, those suing HDFC Bank credit and debit cards shall receive a 5 percent discount of up to INR 1,000. On the other hand, a regular purchase made using an HDFC Bank debit card will get you a 5 percent cashback of up to INR 500. Finally, Prime customers who opt for ‘No Rush Delivery’ will receive a cashback of INR 15 as Amazon Pay balance.

The OPPO A9 (2020)’s standout feature is its 5000mAH battery that supports 18W fast charging via the power brick that is included in the box. The phone also offers stereo loudspeakers for a more immersive listening experience.
In terms of performance, you can expect to get a mid-range experience with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 655 SoC. This has been paired with 8GB of RAM for optimum multitasking. The 128GB of inbuilt storage paired with microSD card expansion should be more than sufficient for most people. The A9 2020 runs Android 9 Pie-based Color OS6.1 out of the box.
It is odd that OPPO decided to provide a 1600 x 720 pixel resolution LCD screen on the A9 2020 when phones that cost half as much offer Full HD+ resolution these days. Perhaps this was a monetary challenge for OPPO, considering how much it focused on the phone’s imaging aspect. The back of the phone offers a quad-camera setup comprised of a 48MP primary shooter, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP monochrome Camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, you get a 16Mp selfie camera housed in a V-shaped notch.
