Oppo, without organizing any dedicated launch event, has launched two new smartphones in India – the A9 2020 and the A5 2020. They come as the successor to the Oppo A9 and the Oppo A5 that were launched in India earlier this year. The A9 2020 and the A5 2020 bring a few exciting features to the table, such as a massive, 5000mAh battery, and stereo speakers. Here are the specifications, pricing, offers, and availability of both smartphones.

Oppo A9 2020 And Oppo A5 2020 Price in India, Offers, Availability

The A9 2020 comes in India in two variants. The base variant has 4GB + 128GB storage, and it costs INR 16,990. The second variant has a whopping, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration, and comes with a price tag of INR 19,990.

The A5 2020 is also available in two variants in India. The first variant features 3GB RAM + 64GB storage, and it will set you back INR 12,490. Whereas, the second variant has 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and this one is priced at INR 13,990.

The A9 2020 will be available to purchase in India starting 16th September from Amazon. The offline availability date for the smartphone is set for 19th September. The A5 2020, on the other hand, will be available from online and offline stores starting 21st September.

People buying the A9 2020 and the A5 2020 from Amazon India will get 5% cashback if they make the payment through HDFC Bank credit or debit cards. Unfortunately, there is no such discount offer for people purchasing either device from offline stores.

Oppo A9 2020 Specifications

The A9 2020 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD featuring Full HD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a V-shaped notch at the top.

The device has four rear cameras – a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone features a 16MP front-facing camera.

Powering the A9 2020 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The operating system, as you might expect, is the Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1 on top.

The highlight feature of the device, however, is its massive, 5000mAh battery. There is an 18W fast charging option as well. Not only that, the device even ships with an 18W charger in the box. The other highlight feature of the A9 2020 is that it comes with stereo speakers, making the A9 2020 one of the most affordable device to have one.

Oppo A5 2020 Specifications

The Oppo A5 2020 has the same 6.5-inch IPS LCD featuring Full HD+ resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a V-shaped notch as its sibling.

The A5 2020 features the same chipset as well, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. The software, again, is the same Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1.

The Oppo A5 2020 even has four rear cameras like its sibling. The camera sensors, however, are slightly different. The A5 2020 has a 12MP primary camera instead of the 48MP unit in the A9 2020. The other three cameras remain the same – an 8MP ultrawide unit, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera of the A5 2020 is also slightly downgraded compared to the one its sibling. This one gets an 8MP unit instead of the 16MP unit in its A9 2020.

Moreover, the Oppo A5 2020 has the same battery pack as the A9 2020 – a 5000mAh unit supporting 18W fast charging. And even the A5 2020 ships with an 18W charger in the box.
