The Chinese smartphone maker OPPO unveiled the OPPO A93 5G smartphone two weeks ago. The device features a 6.5-inch 90Hz FullHD+ display, Snapdragon 480 SoC, and has a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Well, it looks like the company is preparing for the sequel to the OPPO A93, the OPPO A94. The device is lately in the news, as it had earlier bagged certification from Singapore’s IMDA authority. And now, the handset has also cleared the required NBTC, and CQC certification, suggesting the launch is closer now.
OPPO A94 Gains NBTC, CQC Certification
The NBTC certification of the OPPO A94 once again confirms the name of the device officially, that has model number CPH2203. Recently, yet another OPPO device with model number CPH2205 was benchmarked at Geekbench. Speculations are rife that the CPH2205 could be the another variant of A94 only.
The benchmark listing reveals that the A94 is coming with MediaTek’s Helio P95 SoC, and will be packing 6GB of RAM. On the software front, the smartphone might run Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1. As far as the CQC certification goes, it even confirms the model number of the handset as CPH2203. Apart from the model number, the listing even also assures that the A94 will have a 30W fast charging support.
No other details of this upcoming smartphone, such as display size, camera resolution, and battery capacity are known as of now. If we consider the CPH2205 as another variant of A94 only, then it might feature 6.2-inch display, 48MP quad-camera setup, with phone’s dimensions set as 160.1×73.32mm, as per FCC. Connectivity-wise, the A94 could offer 4G LTE support, dual band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Once the devices, the OPPO CPH2203 and CPH2205, make an appearance on TENAA certification authority, we might get a clear idea, if they are actually are the same smartphone or a different one. Now, that the OPPO A94 (CPH2203) has already gained the IMDA, NBTC, and CQC certification, it most likely can go official in the upcoming few days.
